Yes, that’s right. We have made booking process easier based on your feedback. One of the common concerns our users had is that they didn’t want to commit for a class by paying full amount in advance online without knowing the teacher/instructor.
Now you don’t have to pay full amount on Knowledge Bunch. You need to only pay a token money on site to confirm your attendance in the class and rest you can pay directly to the instructor. For example, if a class fee is Rs. 750/- then you need to only pay Rs. 113/- for confirming the booking. You need to pay the rest (Rs. 637/-) to the class instructor directly when you attend the class (as shown below).
Thanks for your feedback. We sincerely hope that in future also you’ll help us improve our service by providing your valuable feedback.
Stay tuned. Some more changes are on the way!!
Why Joomla, and not Wordpress or Drupal? Well, Joomla is the most easy to use CMS with rich content management features. Be it a simple website or a complex web application, Joomla is a good fit in most of the cases. This doesn’t mean that Wordpress and Drupal are less powerful than Joomla, but yes it’s easier to administer a Joomla site compared to Drupal and Wordpress. Well, we are not here to argue on which CMS is better, are we?
The workshop would kick off at 9 AM sharp at Knowledge Bunch headquarters. Those who have booked their seat for the class are requested to arrive 15 minutes before the class, especially those who would be bringing their laptops for hands-on. Those who haven’t yet booked need to hurry. We plan to conduct this workshop in future as well so if you can’t attend this workshop due to some reason, don’t worry.
Learn and Share,
Knowledge Bunch Team

A few more updates:
Stay tuned to rediscover learning!!
Well, we couldn’t wait any longer :-)
Most of you must have got Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn profiles but very few of us have got websites. Chances are many of you want one for your business or personal use (blog etc) but either you don’t have the time or don’t want to spend lot of money to build it.
Fortunately, building a website is not as tough as it sounds and anyone, yes anyone, with basic Internet knowledge can create a dynamic content website easily within an hour. Knowledge Bunch is organising a FREE class on how anyone can create a website easily on Monday, 2nd April at Knowledge Bunch office.
Anyone interested is welcome to attend the event. Apart from the website creation class, we’ll discuss how anyone could be a teacher and start teaching on Knowledge Bunch over a cup of coffee. Though our class is free, your class need not be free :-)
Due to limited space, we can accommodate only 20 participants for this class so hurry before all seats are booked. See you there in the class!!
As always, if you have got any questions. Feel free to get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We are so excited to announce the release of our product video (above). A picture is worth thousand words so we thought a video would be cool :-) Do let us know your feedback on the video.
In parallel, we have been working on making the site ready for launch within next 2-3 weeks. We have been facing some issues with our payment processor but we hope to get that resolved in coming week. Stay tuned and be prepared to explore classes in your city to learn something exciting!!
Many people with whom we initially shared the concept behind Knowledge Bunch loved the idea of face to face classes by real people. However there were some who argued why not use e-learning solutions, online tools and video/web conferencing (among others) as a medium of delivering classes instead of sticking to old school methods?
Using a new technology just because it is available cannot be justified unless it offers something which existing methods/tools can’t possibly offer. How many of us who studied in traditional classes in absence of any such technological aid feel our classes were not effective, unless of course, the teaching quality is not up to the mark? The best form of communication, hence teaching, is face to face, as supported by Media Richness Theory and Media Naturalness Theory.

Based on contingency theory and information processing theory, Media Richness Theory explains that richer, more personal communication means are generally more effective for communication of equivocal issues than leaner, less rich media.
At Knowledge Bunch, our goal is to facilitate face to face classes by real people on any subject of their choice as we strongly believe face to face classes allow the kind of interaction and environment which is required for learning. In such classes, students are not silent observers and actually participate in the learning process activity by asking questions and by discussing not only with teacher but with fellow students as well. Since classes are booked by students who are interested in learning that particular subject and are conducted by people who are passionate about their knowledge and/or skill in that subject, it forms a close group of people where learning happens naturally.
Our reasoning is that when a class can be delivered face to face which is known and scientifically proven to be more effective, why to go after online learning mediums like video or web conferencing? Our mission is to facilitate classes in every neighborhood in every city so people based anywhere get an opportunity to teach and learn.
Having we said, we are not at all against of over the air class delivery methodology as they are genuinely beneficial in many cases where students and teacher are geographically spread out and in many other scenarios. For Knowledge Bunch, we felt that it’s good to be old school.
Knowledge Bunch brings people interested in learning new skills together with those willing to share their skills. In short, anyone can be a teacher and a student on Knowledge Bunch. If you are the curious type and interested in learning new things then you can’t afford to stay away from Knowledge Bunch. And if you love sharing your skills and knowledge with people around you then you must sign up for Knowledge Bunch.
If you’ll look around, you’ll notice that it’s easy to find people who are extremely knowledgeable about a particular subject, yet limit the knowledge to themselves (you’ll probably find more than one such people in your own circle). The reason is not that they deliberately want to avoid sharing their knowledge with others. The fact is, most of the time people are forced to keep their valuable knowledge, experiences and skills to themselves since they do not find the right opportunity and platform where they can share it with those interested in learning them.
We, at Knowledge Bunch, understand how important it is to share knowledge with each other. Sharing knowledge not only strengthens our understanding of the subject but is also immensely satisfying experience.
“Knowledge is like Happiness, the more you share, the more you get in return.”
Unfortunately, we don’t see much of knowledge sharing taking place, except in form of KT in corporate world :-)
This thought inspired us to build a platform where people can easily share their valuable knowledge, skills and experiences with those interested in learning them. Thus, Knowledge Bunch was born. At Knowledge Bunch, our goal is to make knowledge sharing and learning as easy as it can possibly be, by facilitating the whole process.
We firmly believe that online classes are no fun, since they lack the interaction between teacher and students and among students themselves. Call us old school, but we believe that the learning experience of a traditional class cannot be recreated using online classes so we facilitate classes which take place in real world where people passionate about their knowledge and skills meet with people passionate about learning those skills.
